Ihavereallyenjoyedthisproject.Ithadsomedisappointingtimes,andsetbacks.
Wegotlazyattimeswhenitgotstressful.Wealltriedtokeepgoingandwedid.Anyway
westartedoffreallywell,anditlookedgreat.Thentheapplicationhadnoexportandwe
hadtostartover.Thattookmeawhiletogetbackonthat(becauseIhadthesetatmy
house)Idid,anditwasgood,butnotasgreatasthefirst,butwepushedthrough,and
finished.Ihadnoplansofleadingthisproject,butithappened.Iwasluckythatchristook
chargeoftheresearchandrecording.Iamgladitcameoutok.Thisexperiencereally
inspiredmetotakeonstopmotionasahobby,andsomedayIhopetorecordthisproject
again,seewhatIdodifferent.Iamthankfulformygroupandtheresupport.chrisdidalotof
thetyping,andcyrushelpedhim.Cyrusgavealotofgoodideas,andIwouldputthemin
thestory.Imalittledisappointedthisprojectisover,Ienjoyedit.HoweverIplanondoing
morefunstopmotionswithchrisandmaybecyrus.IntheendIamproudofmyteamand
movie.

ThisstoryhasbeenachallengingprojectformetocompleteasinmanycasesIjust
wantedtogiveuponit.Iwouldwanttotakeoutscenesorjuststopproductionasawhole

andchangeitintoabook.ButRyanconvincedmetocontinueandsoIdidbutthe
challengesstillpoppedupalmosteveryday.Wewouldrunintoproblemswithlighting,
exporting,editing,etc.andsowemanagedtoovercometheproblemsandproducedwhat
wewantedtooriginallyfilm.Thisproducthasbeeninproductionsinceoctober2015and
hasbeenrewrittenmanytimes.Iwasinchargeofabout30%ofrecordingandbuildingbut
Ifocusedmoreontheresearchofthesubjectsandfinalediting.Whenitcameto
researchingthesubjectsrequiredfortheprojectIwasstumpedmanytimesasIwas
researchingfictionalsciencewithnonfictionalscience.Onetopicwouldusuallytakeme
about3hourstoresearchbecauseIusuallyhadtoreadfantheoriesofsomethingandthen
lookforwhattheybelievethematerialwouldbemadeupofinrealitytothansearchingalot
ofsmallertopicsnowarisingfromtherealisticsubjecttounderstandittotheresearcheven
moretopicsfromthesenewfactsjustforsomethinglikethealiensskin.Itwasalongand
boringprocessthatIcantbelieveIstilldid.OnthesideIalsowenttoRyan'shousenow
andthantohelpbuildandfilmthemoviesetsandscenesandusuallyjustanythingelse
Ryanneeded.AtschoolmeandCyruswouldfindheysoundeffectsforthefilmthatwould
laterfalltomeputtingallthepiecestogether.RyanputinmostofthesoundeffectsbutI
laterhadtobreakthemuptofitthefilmwithnowtheinterviewframesthatthrewoffthe
sounds.MeandCyrusrecordedallthevoiceandIputitintotheframesandonce
everythingwasputtogetherIwasfillwithrelief.

ThisprojectformepersonallywasfullofproblemsbecauseIwouldoftennotbeableto
meetupwiththewholegroupandthatcausedalotofproblemsinthelongrun.Iwould
oftenwanttochangeittoastorybecauseIdidntthinkwecouldpullitoffinthetimewe
had.Ionlydid10%oftherecordingbecauseitwasatRyanshouseandiwouldnotbe
abletomeethimtheremostofthetimeandcouldntrecord.
