constituted under the MHRD Chair for The Ministry of Human
Resource Development, Chair on Intellectual Property Laws at The
National Law Institute University, Bhopal is organizing a National
Conference on Limits to Intellectual Property Rights.

ABOUT CSIPR
The Cell for Studies in Intellectual Property Rights was incorporated
under the aegis of Prof. (Dr.) Ghayur Alam at the National Law
Institute University, Bhopal. Pursuant to its mission of promoting
research and the sharing of ideas in the field of Intellectual Property
Laws, the cell has undertaken to conduct an ever expanding array of
activities. The cell publishes an annual journal titled the NLIU
Journal of Intellectual Property Law and has also been actively
involved in the organising of events in collaboration with the Ministry
of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The National Conference on Limits to Intellectual Property Rights will
discuss the limitations to Intellectual Property Rights. The students are
invited to present their papers relevant to this topic. The conference
will see participation from eminent jurists and experts in the field.

ABOUT THE COLLEGE

The National Law Institute University situated at Bhopal was


established by the Act No. 41 of the State Legislature of Madhya
Pradesh in 1997. Since its establishment, the institute has earned the
status of a premier law school of the country which focuses on
imparting quality legal education, conducting and encouraging research
in varied areas of law and organizing workshops, seminars and training
programs. In its brief journey of about a decade, it has been able to
carve out a niche for itself in academic excellence and placement of its
students. It now stands as one of the most reputed law universities in
the country and has been consistently rated as such.

The key objectives of the University are to advance and disseminate


learning and knowledge of law and legal processes and their role in
national development, and to develop in the students and research
scholars, a sense of responsibility to-wards serving society in the field
of law by developing skills of advocacy and legal services.

Those who are interested in participating in the National


Workshop must fill in the Registration Form and send a
D.D. of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand Only) along
with it and send it to the following address:

An abstract of the paper, in 150 words clearly mentioning the
original idea which the participant wants to contribute
through his/her paper must be sent to NLIU only by postal
service on or before 1st February, 2016. A soft copy must be
mailed to nliu.csipr@gmail.com.
The last date for receiving the Registration form along with
the DD and the completed paper is 15th February, 2016.
AC-II Train Fare (to and fro) may be reimbursed to the
participants who are faculty members on production of the
tickets for the shortest route of travel. AC-III Train Fare (to
and fro) may be reimbursed to all the other participants on
production of the tickets for the shortest route of travel. An
amount of Rs. 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred Only) towards
local conveyance to and fro will also be reimbursed. NLIU
Bhopal will make the necessary arrangements for food and
accommodation.
