Some Mid-Year Reminders:
Our Office Manager is now Mrs. Janosik, our Registrar is Mrs. Penney, and our School Aide is Mrs. Alexander.
Remember to please ONLY TURN RIGHT out of our lot during drop off and dismissal times, no vehicles may be in
the bus lane, and our gates open for pick up at 3:10 pm. We still are a closed campus in the morning and open in the
afternoons.
Also, students are not released after 3:10 pm and cannot be on campus prior to 8:50 am (unless they are running at
Milers).
When picking up your student, you will need to show ID and please be aware of your childs lunch schedule if picking
up early to ensure they get a chance to have their lunch. Lunches are as follows: First lunch (K and 1 st ) 11:20am
-11:55 am, Second lunch (2nd and 4th) 11:50 am-12:25 pm, and Third lunch (3rd and 5th)
12:20 pm 12:55 pm.

District and State Testing Update: Our K-2 students will continue to take the benchmark-district assessment Acuity for ELA
and math. The district has purchased a benchmark assessment for grades 3-5 but currently only has ELA and has made it
optional for all elementary schools. Our 3-5 grade teachers have opted to take the test as it is the only online test available to
our students for SBAC preparation. We will be using the state mandated SBAC tests for ELA and Math in grades 3-5 but will
not be using the company Measured Progress. Again, as last year, 5 th grade will take the science CRTs which we are told will
also be online. There is no separate state writing assessment. Acuity begins at the end of this month and the 3-5 Interim will be
available sometime next month. The state SBAC assessments for 3-5 window will begin in April and continue through May.
