Assembly and

Operations of
Quadcopter

Quodcopter

A quadcopter, also called a quadrotor

helicopter or quadrotor, is a multirotor
helicopter that is lifted and propelled by four
rotors. Quadcopters are classified as
rotorcraft, as opposed to fixed-wing aircraft,
because their lift is generated by a set of
rotors.[1]

Key Components

The Frame
The frame carries all the
compoments of
quadcopter.
It consist of two plates,
top and bottom attachted
to four booms.
Material of the frame
decides external load
capacity.
Structure of frame affect
flight speed,
maneuverability, and
flight time.

The Motors
and
propellers.
They provide direction
and lift to quadcopter.
Size of propellers and spin
together determines flight
speed and manuever
speed.

The flight
controller
On board microcontroller
in the quadcopter. It is the
onboard computer inside
quadcopter.
It controls the craft and
interepret signals sent by
tranmitter and guide the
craft

Radio
Receiver
This consists of a
component which
connects to the flight
controller, to receive
signals, and a controller to
transmit them.

ESCs
Electronic speed
controller controls the
speed of indiviadual
motos. They connected to
a motor each.
ESC suppliesthe proper
modulated current to the
motors, which in turn
produce correct rates of
spin for both lift and
maneuvering.
Recent ESCs have SimonK
Firmware and BAC
embedded with it.

Radio
Controller
Radio Controller gives
control to ground pilot.
It has two parts reciver is
mounted in quad copter
and transmitter is in the
pilots hand.

Battery
It provides power to
quadcopter.
Typically LiPo battery is
used
