CITY COUNCIL MEETING

MINUTES
SPECIAL SESSION

June 22, 2001

MEMBERS PRESENT: Bill Alexander, Richard Frith and Doug Everett

MEMBERS ABSENT: Don Cook and Shirley Scot

STAFF PRESENT: Annette Anderson

Mayor Frith called the meeting to order at 12 noon. The secretary noted the attendance of Councilmembers
as follows:

Cory Wilkinson and Victoria Cruce addressed the Council to request approval of a solicitation permit for
Saturday, June 23, 2001as a fundraiser for Ms. Cruce. Mr. Wilkinson told the Council Ms. Cruce had been
invited to sing in Nashville, Tennessee by Embassy Music and funds would be used for those expenses. Mr.
Wilkinson apologized for the last minute request, explaining that Ms. Cruce would be leaving for Nashville
on Wednesday, June 27, 2001.

Councilmember Everett asked how many individuals would be doing the soliciting. Mr. Wilkinson said there
would probably be around six. Councilmember Alexander reminded Mr. Wilkinson and Ms. Cruce that those
individuals soliciting must wear orange protective clothing for safety concerns.

After discussion and wishing Ms. Cruce success, Councilmember Everett made a motion to approve the
solicitation request. The motion was seconded by Councilmember Alexander and upon roll call vote was as
follows:

There being no further business to come before the City Council at this time, the meeting was adjourned at
approximately 12:06 p. m.
