Robotics
During the year we acquired three
Exofabulatronixx 5200 Kits
We made these kits available to students in the
makers space.
To introduce the kits we had several advertised
sessions about teaching our students to build
robots.
These sessions lasted 30 minutes and were
offered during lunch hours and after school.

How it works

The brain box contains

numbered input and output
sensors that control
movement.

The Bluetooth
side connects
with the
students phone.

How to make the robot move

What did our students learn?

Adapting an unfamiliar program to a mobile device

Creativity
Collaboration
Electromagnetic circuitry
Coding (scratch and C)
Self-motivated learning
Evaluation and analysis of different resources

Website building
After school tutorials were offered to help
student learn to build websites.
Students were shown the ease of content
management sites.
Students were also shown that capabilities of
coding with a markup language (ex., HTML, Java,
CSS).
Links to the finished websites were added to the
library website as long as students keep them
updated weekly and comply with school content
rules.
