instancewithitsMSGconfiguration,plusarungforthemodulestatus.Usetheappropriatefieldsinthe
rungimportdialogtoreplacetagsintheimportwithfinaltagnamesforyourapplication.
TheHARTI/OinstructionsabovereplacethepreviousHARTmodule,channelandinputinstructions.
ThenewinstructionsuseanewinterfacebetweenModuleandInput/Outputinstructions,andsothere
isnotadirectmigrationforthecontrollerlogic.Itisrecommendedthatthepreviousinstructionsbe
deletedandthenewinstructionsusedintheirplace.Thenewinstructionshavebeentestedinavariety
ofscanconfigurationsseethePremierIntegrationSamplesapplication(.ACD)fortypicalusage.The
ModuleinstructionsdonotneedtobeinsameTaskastheInputandOutputinstructionsinfact,they
canbeinaslowertask,onlyimpactingthedigitalvariableperformance.Analogvariablelinkageisdirect
to/fromtheI/OcardforbestanalogI/Operformance.
TheP_AInHARTinstructionusesthecommonAnalogInputgraphicsymbols,andwiththeInf_Typelocal
tagsettoP_AInHARTineachAOIinstance,theappropriatefaceplateisautomaticallycalledup.Thus
minimalgraphicchangesshouldberequiredwhenupgradingtothenewHARTinstructions.

IMPORTANT:TheP_AInHARTandP_AOutHARTinstructionschecktheHARTdigitalvariablestatus
returnedfromeachdeviceforgood(11xx_xxxx),substitutes(10xx_xxxx),uncertain(01xx_xxxx)orbad
(00xx_xxxx)status,foreachPV,SV,TVandFV.Notallinstrumentsreturnavalueforthedigitalvariable
statussomesimplyreturnzero.TheseinstrumentswillshowabaddigitalPV,SV,TVandFV(red
circleXicon),evenwhenthedigitalvariablesarebeingreceivedOK.Theseindicationscanbeignored
ifthevariableischanging,itisbeingreceived.

Support for HMI Localization

TheLibraryofProcessobjectsnowincludessupportformultiplelanguages.GlobalObjectandDisplay
fileshavebeenenhancedtoallowspaceforlanguagesotherthanEnglish.Forthiseffort,manyobjects
havebeenrepositionedand/orrenamed.Also,manyobjectsthatwereformallymultistateindicators
buthadonlyonevisiblestatewerechangedtoatextdisplaywitharectanglebackground.
