Rightnowintodayssocietywe
arefacingpolicebrutalityandotherracialproblems.Todayyoungpeople
areupsetbecauseseveralincidentswiththepolicekillingunarmedblack
men.Manyoftheyoungandolderpeoplehavedonealottotrytostop
thisproblembyprotesting,alsosportsteamshavegoneonstrikeand
socialmediahasbeeninvolvedto.Theactionsofthepoliceandother
racialproblemsthathasoccurredithasmademanycitizensandresidents
havebeenveryscaredfortheirchildren'slives,andalsotheirwellbeings.
WeareinthemiddleoftheSecondCivilRightsmovementbecause
there
aremanydifferentracialproblemsthatareoccurringindifferent
neighborhoodsandthegovernmentisnotdoinganythingtostopthese
problemsforhappening.Peopletodayarecreatingdifferentgroupsand
clubstotryfigureoutwaystofixtheseproblemswehaveinourcities.Ido
thinkweareinthemiddleofaSecondCivilRightsMovementbecausebig
marcheswehavelikethesuchonesintheCivilMovement.

FirstreasonwhyithinkwereinthemiddleofSecondCivilRights

occurringindifferentneighborhoodsandthegovernmentisnotdoing
anythingtostoptheseproblemsforhappening.AccordingtoTheNext
CivilRightsMovement?onDissentMagazineitstatesthat
Seemingly
outofnowhere,amultiracial,multigenerationalmovementassertingblack
humanityinresponsetoracistpolicekillingsandviolencehasripped
acrossthecountry.Hundredsofthousandsofpeopleacrossthenationat
theirfingertips.Notonlyissocialmediaatoolformobilization,butthe
intensereportingonpolicebrutalityviasocialmediaalsoinfluencesprint
andtelevisioncoverage,whichmeansthatattentiontosuchincidentshas
multiplied.Thisevidenceshowsthatmanypeoplehavebeentryingto
addressthisracialproblembygoingonsocialmediaandgatheringpeople
andalertingpeopleofopportunitiestochangethewaythepoliceforceare
treatingAfricanAmericans.ThistiestothethesisbecausebackintheCivil
WarthegovernmentknewtheAfricansAmericansweregettingtreated
unfairlyandtheydidnothingtochangethis,sotheAfricanAmericansdid.
ThisiswhyithinkthatweareinasecondCivilRightsmovementbecauseI
thinkAfricanAmericansaregettingtreatedunfairassuchtheywereinthe
firstororiginalCivilrightsmovement.

Movement.AccordingtotheevidencethatIhavestatedthisiswhyithink
weareinaSecondCivilMovement.

Lastly,IdothinkweareinthemiddleofasecondCivilwarbecause

bigmarcheswehavelikethesuchonesintheCivilMovement.According

Crowdsrallyfor'justiceorelse'on20thanniversaryofMillionMan
MarchtheMillionManMarchwasamarchtobedirectedattheblack
communityatlarge,notjustmen.Manywomenandchildrenwereinthe

crowdandmanypeopletalkedabouthowmenshouldhonorwomen.
This
evidenceshowsthatweareinasecondcivilwarbecauseweare
protestingandmakingbigmarchstoprovethatwearetiredofthewaythe
governmentishandlingthesedifferentsituationsthatareaccuring.

InconclusionIdoagreewiththeopinionthat
weareinthemiddleofa
secondCivilRightsmovementbecause
therearemanydifferentracial
problemsareoccurringindifferentneighborhoodsandthegovernmentis
notdoinganythingtostoptheseproblemsforhappening,peopletodayare
creatingdifferentgroupsandclubstofindafigureoutwaystotrytofix
theseproblemswehaveinourcities,Idothinkweareinthemiddleofa
secondCivilwarbecausebigmarcheslikewhenMartinLutherKingJr.had
leadedtheMarchonWashington.Thesereasonsstatedabovehaveshown
thatmultiplethingsthatarehappeningtodayaretakingplaceinthistime
period.Thisiswhyithinkweareinasecondcivilwar.
