Lrkehaven i Lystrup

Boligforeningen Ringgrden har bygget


122 bredygtige klimavenlige almene
boliger i Lystrup ved Aarhus.Visionen
for bebyggelsen er at kombinere det
ypperste inden for europisk arkitektur
med de nyeste landvindinger inden for
bredygtighed.
Boligerne er fordelt i tre bebyggelser, der
er vidt forskellige mht. arkitektur og indhold
af bredygtige elementer. For Lystrup og
Aarhus betyder det et nyt boligomrde,
der sparer miljet for cirka 100 tons CO2
udledning om ret sammenlignet med
byggerier opfrt efter Bygningsreglementets
standardkrav.
Flles for de tre bebyggelser er ogs, at
de er opfrt med trkonstruktioner og af
prfabrikerede elementer.

The Larch Garden in Lystrup

The Housing Association Ringgaarden has


built 122 sustainable climate friendly public
houses in Lystrup near Aarhus. The vision is
to combine the best of European architecture
with the latest advances in sustainability.
The houses are distributed on three building
complexes, which are very different with
regard to architecture and sustainable
elements. For Lystrup and Aarhus this
means a new housing area which saves the
environment app. 100 tons of CO2 emission
compared with complexes built according
to the standard requirements of the Building
Regulations.
Another thing the three complexes have
in common is that they are built of wooden
constructions build off site.

In The Larch Garden I sustainability is not


about sophisticated technology, but about form,
orientation, materials, constructive solutions,
etc. Sustainability and architecture are natural
integrated.

Nyt fjernvarmekoncept til lavenergiboliger


New district heating concept for low energy dwellings

Lrkehaven II er den frste bebyggelse i Danmark,


hvor et nyt fjernvarmekoncept til lavenergiboliger afprves: slut med at fyre for regnormene.
Fjernvarme forsyner 1,5 millioner danske boliger og
udgr 60 procent af Danmarks varmeforsyning, men de
skrappe krav til bygningers energiforbrug betyder, at
der skal tnkes nyt, hvis det skal kunne betale sig at
bruge fjernvarme i lavenergibebyggelser.
Fjernevarmeprojektets frste fase, der blev udfrt i et
testlaboratorium p Teknologisk Institut, pegede p, at
der kan spares bde energi og penge p det nye fjernvarmekoncept til lavenergihuse. Blandt andet reduceres
varmetabet i jorden ved at bruge twinrr som har en
srlig isoleringskappe. Hertil kommer lave temperaturer p 50 grader i fjernvarmeforsyningen.
Projektets nste fase er at afprve fjernvarmekonceptet
i praksis. I Lrkehaven II er der installeret lavtemperatur fjernvarme i halvdelen af boligerne, s forskerne
kan stte fokus p den praktiske drift af fjernvarmekonceptet og mle det virkelige varmebehov og varmetab i
moderne lavenergiboliger.

No more heating for the earthworms

The Larch Garden II is the first project in Denmark


to test a new district heating concept for low energy
dwellings No more heating for the earth-worms.
District heating supplies 1.8 million Danish dwellings
and constitute 60 percent of Denmarks heating supply,
but the tough requirements on the energy consumption
of houses mean that innovative thinking is necessary
if district heating shall be profitable in low energy
buildings.
The first phase of the district heating project which
was performed in a test laboratory at the Danish
Technological Institute indicated that it is possible to
save both energy and money on the new district heating
concept for low energy houses. Among other things
through reduction of the heat loss in the earth by using
twin pipes which have a special insulation jacket. Add
to that low temperature of 50 degrees in the district
heating supply. The next phase of the project is to test
the district heating concept in practice. In the Larch
Garden II low temperature district heating is installed
in half of the dwellings so that the researchers can focus
on the practical operation of the district heating concept
and measure the real heating needs and heat loss in
modern low energy dwellings.

Kubistiske hvide huse

Med de kubistiske hvide rkkehuse og de karakteristiske trne p taget, der fungerer som lysindtag, har
Lrkehaven III et strkt og enkelt arkitektonisk udtryk.
Der opstr et flot samspil mellem bygningernes enkle
geometri og det bne landskab.
Bebyggelsens form og orientering fortller om det
klimavenlige tema, blandt andet de kompakte huse med
minimal overflade, store vinduer orienteret mod syd og
de tykke vgge.
De karakteristiske trne skaber fine lysmssige og
rummelige kvaliteter i boligens stue p frstesalen.
Fra stueetagen er der direkte udgang til grdhaven,
som derved kan bruges i ben forbindelse med
kkkenalrum.

Cubist white houses

With the cubist white terraced houses and the characteristic towers on the roof, functioning as light intake,
the architectural impression of the Larch Garden III is
strong and simple. A fine correlation emerges between
the simple geometry of the buildings and the open
landscape. The form and orientation of the complex
tells about the climate friendly theme, among other
things the compact houses with minimum surface,
large southward oriented windows and the thick walls.
The characteristic towers create fine qualities with
regard to light and space in the sitting room on the first
floor.
The ground floor has direct access to the courtyard
garden which enables use in open connection with the
family kitchen.

Passivhusene reducerer energiforbruget gennem flest


mulige passive tiltag heraf navnet. Det vil sige tiltag, der
ikke i sig selv indebrer mekaniske strmkrvende dele,
som pumper mv.
Passivhuse er s ttte og velisolerede at varmen fra solen,
husets beboere og udstyr leverer det meste af varmen.
Det resterende varmebehov dkkes via et ventilationsanlg
med varmegenvinding, der skal sikre et sundere indeklima
end i traditionelle huse. Anlgget, som er udviklet specielt
til passivhuse, leverer bde frisk luft, rumopvarmning og
varmt brugsvand.
Man fr alts ingen varmeregning, men derimod en hjere
el-regning, da man udover normalt elforbrug ogs bruger el
til varme.
I et passivhus er der faktisk ikke behov for at bne
vinduerne for at f en bedre luftkvalitet. Den styrede
ventilation giver nemlig en rkke indeklimafordele: luften
renses for stv, pollen og partikler, og den automatiske
udluftning modvirker fugt og stv, og man behver ikke at
bruge tid p at lufte ud 2-3 gange dagligt. Man kan njes
med at bne et vindue, nr man har lyst til at mrke luften,
hre fuglene kvidre osv.

Houses that keep the heat without radiator

The passive houses reduce the energy consumption through


maximum passive initiatives hence the name. This means
initiatives which in themselves do not involve mechanical
electricity consuming parts such as pumps, etc.
Passive houses are so tight and well-insulated that heat from
the sun, the residents and equipment of the house supply
most of the heat. The remaining need for heat is covered by
a ventilation system with heat recovery, which should ensure
a healthier indoor climate than in the traditional houses. The
system, which is developed specifically for passive houses,
supplies both fresh air, room heating, and warm water.
This means that you receive no heating bill, but a bigger
electricity bill, since in addition to usual electricity
consumption you also use electricity for heating.
Actually you dont need to open the windows to obtain
a better air quality in a passive house. The controlled
ventilation provides a number of indoor climate advantages:
the air is cleaned of dust, pollen and particles, and the
automatic air replacement prevents humidity and dust, and
you need not spend time on venting 2-3 times a day. You
need only to open a window when you want to feel the air,
hear the birds sing, etc.

Passivhuseksperterne
Lrkehavens 122 boliger er et af de mest banebrydende og opsigtsvkkende boligprojekter
i Danmark. Partnerne bag frdigprojektering og opfrelse af de 32 passivhuse er de mest
erfarne i Skandinavien indenfor denne type byggeri. Det betyder at byggeriet er af hj kvalitet
og udtryk for de tendenser der vil prge fremtidens byggeri i Danmark. Vi er overbeviste om,
