FIXED TERM CONTRACT


The HDFC BANK LIMITED (having its Regd. Office at HDFC Bank House, Senapati Bapat Marg, Mumbai
-400013) hereinafter referred to as the Bank hereby appoints you as a Team Leader for two years with effect from
January 21, 2010 on the following terms and conditions:
1.

You shall perform the duties of Team Leader in the Bank primarily consisting of Sales promotion work and
shall perform such other related duties and exercise such powers that the Bank and/or any of its subsidiary or
its associated companies within HDFC Bank Group may delegate or assign to you by or with the authority of
the Managing Director of the Bank.

2.

During the engagement you shall devote the whole of your time attention and ability to the business and affairs
of the Bank and will use your best endeavors to promote its interests. You shall not during your employment
hereunder, be concerned or interested directly or indirectly in any way in any business competing with or
similar to the business of the Bank and other employment or service whatsoever excerpt that you may hold
shares or securities in any company which is quoted on a recognized Stock Exchange or dealt in publicly and
in private family companies including the holding of nominal directorship in such companies (subject to
compliance with the Personal Account Dealing Section of the Ethical Standards and Compliance Manual) and
except also that you may be allowded to accept remuneration and fees for the teaching and lecturing work done
outside office hours.

You will be paid a salary of Rs.10,500/- per month (Rupees Ten Thousand Five Hundred Only) & a
Conveyance Allowance of Rs.5,000/- per month will also be paid. All income tax and other taxes payable on
money received by you from the Bank will be borne by you. You will also be paid incentives based on your
performance as per the policy applicable.

4.

You will be entitled to leave only on completion of six months from Date of Joining as a Team Leader. You
will be entitled to Twenty Five working days annual leave in a calendar year at a time to be determined by the
Bank, subject to exigencies of service. In case you are already on leave of any sort you may be recalled by the
Bank if circumstances warrant your immediate return on duty.
You will not be entitled for any sick leave. Except in exceptional cases leave may be granted at the discretion
of the Bank after adjusting the leave of 25 days, but the Bank reserves the right to terminate, your employment
forthwith and without previous notice in the event of your absence from work due to ill health for a period or
periods totaling at least for weeks in any consecutive period of twelve calendar months.

5.

Save as hereinbefore expressly provide you will not be entitled to any special payments or allowances or
perquisites of any kind whatsoever authorized by the management of the Bank for payment to other
Employees.

6.

You will not during your engagement or thereafter except in the proper course of your duties, disclose any
information concerning any of the business or affairs of the Bank, its subsidiaries or its associated companies
or of any of its customers which may come to your Knowledge during the course of your engagement or
otherwise howsoever and you will use your best endeavors to prevent any such disclosure.

7.

Notwithstanding the provisions of Clause 11 is hereof in the event of any willful or continued neglect by you
of your duties, any serious misconduct or any breach of this contract on your part, the Bank reserves the right
to terminate your employment forthwith and without previous notice or payment in lieu of notice, and you
shall be bound by such a decision and shall not question the same.

8.

You shall perform your work at New DELHI (Pitampura Branch,IFSC Code HDFC0000392) of such other
place or places in or outside India as the Bank or its associates or subsidiaries may from time to time specify.

9.

You shall in the course of your contract with the Bank, shall not without the previous written consent of the
Bank and which consent the Bank may in its absolute discretion and without assigning any reason therefore
withhold and/or refuse to accord directly and/or indirectly solicit and/or engage in the collection of donations
for any trust or other organizations and/or institutions for charitable and/or any other purposes from person/s
and/or my bodies corporate/institutions with whom you come into contact and/or have dealings within the
course of your contract with the Bank.

10.

You will be eligible to participate in the Banks Staff Provident Fund upon joining.

11.

This contract may be terminated by either party giving to the other not less than one months and not more than
thirty days prior written notice to that effect expiring at any time after the commencement of your service
hereunder or by the Bank paying you one months basic salary in lieu of notice (wherein before or after such
notice of termination is given by you). The Bank shall be entitled, whether such notice of termination is given
by you or the Bank, to require you to proceed on leave at the time of receiving or giving such notice of
termination or at any time thereafter. The unveiled leave may be adjusted against the notice period, at the
discretion of the management. The Bank shall also be entitled to terminate your services forthwith by paying
one months salary in lieu of notice.

12.

On expiry of two years from the date of commencement of this contract, your services will automatically come
to an end without any further act of the Bank.

13.

The policies and terms of services as applicable to you will be made available to you on your joining and any
alterations or variations therein will be intimated to you from time to time, and you will be bound by the same.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Team Leader


As a SSE you are required to ensure that all the documentation / account opening formalities are completed by the
customer in your presence.
To meet this objective as well as fulfill the Banks seriousness and importance to the process, your responsibilities
would include:
To explain to the customer the various benefits of the product being distributed.
To help the customer to complete documentation and application formalities.
To verify the authenticity of the documents and identity of the customer.
Meet the customer personally for collecting the IP cheque and the AOD. To ensure that the customer is
met up with either at his place of work or at his residence ONLY.
To ensure that all mandatory fields are entered properly.
Keeping a list of acceptable documents required for AOD as a ready reference.
Maintain a daily register to capture the forms sent to CPU with other required details for account set up.
Reconcile the rejected forms from CPU an alternate days.
Ensure that the photograph submitted for the ID proof is clearly visible. It should match with the photo on the
AOD.
Original identity and Address proof documentation need to be personally seen, scrutinized and verified,
and only then the Original Verified stamp is to be affixed. Further, a written confirmation that the
customer has signed the document in my presence, needs to be stated and signed.
Not to accept any smudged or unclear document.
To maintain quality norms on depletion and for cheque bouncing cases.
To achive the set productivity norms for banking and for TPP offerings of the organization.
