Australia is at the 59th position in FIFA 2014 current rankings.

It has played in the world cup


football for three times and has never won any. The key players of the team are Tim Cahill, the
star of the team , skipper and central defender Lucas Neill and Brett Holman. The team is in
Group B with Chile, Netherlands and Spain. The team has however managed a place in the
tournament and is still to show some great colours.
The World Cup 2014 Kit for Australia was released on 1st April, 2014. The Kit is designed by
Nike. The templates are same for the home kit as well as the away kit.
The home kit shirt is mainly yellow with green applications. The green collar is quite similar to
the one Australia wore at their first ever World Cup in 1974. The sleeve cuffs are green. There is
a badge too which is a combination of the Australia Coat of Arms and the FA logo. The shorts are
green and the socks are white.
The away kit features dark blue main color, officially called Obsidian. It is combined with
yellow applications and design elements. The shorts and socks of the away kit are blue in colour.
