The mirror doesn't care if it reflects flowers or feces, it merely reflects. Your primordial
awareness is like the mirror; the flowers and feces are like your thoughts and experiences. Our
reactions to them on the surface involve all kinds of patterning, both learned and inherited, but if
we can cut through this and rest in primordial awareness, we cut through our patterns and can act
as we will, rather than as we are programmed to.
