Monday Mornings
with
Matthew Taylor
Matthew Taylor is, after a gap, returning to the baroque and early classical period concentrating in
this ten lecture series on concertos by Bach and Handel, Vivaldi and Telemann. The early classical
will include some less familiar early Haydn concertos and some by J C Bach. We shall hear works
composed for a wide variety of instruments, solo and concertante including instruments that rarely
appear with orchestra. There will be works by others, the better and lesser known, to add to your
enjoyment. Watch out maybe for the likes of Boccherini and Michael Haydn.
