Overview
Taiwan is a small Island off the eastern cost of Asia in the western
Pacific.
Capital: Taipei
Government: multiparty democracy
Religion: not a sensitive issue & constitution guarantees religious
freedoms.
Christian; 5% other; 3%

Buddhist and Taoist ; 93%

Language
The countrys official language is Mandarin Chinese.
English is rarely spoken outside large multinational organisations, so a
translator may be necessary.
When communicating in English, speak in short & simple sentences such as
A: *Have you eaten?*
B: *Not yet, I'm going to / I'm full, thank you.*
avoid using jargon and slang.
Non-verbal language:When talking ,use less than arms length personal
space
