What is ADV?
a range of abusive behaviors that preteens,
adolescents and young adults experience in
the context of a past or present romantic or
dating relationship. The behaviors include
physical and sexual violence, stalking, and
psychological abuse, which includes control
and coercion. Abuse may be experienced in
person or via technology - (Bowen, Walker
5)
