themselves and use them to
their advantage.

In 1998, a group of hackers


created a backdoor called Back
Orifice and installed it into
some Windows computers.

VIRUSES

A virus is a malware
program that causes
malfunctions in computer
software.
It duplicates by sending
versions of itself into other
programs on computers.

VIRUSES

Viruses on a computer
can erase files, change
valuable data.
They can also cause
pop up ads, spam the
hosts contacts, and
keep track of
keystrokes and the
websites visited.

Only install necessary programs
Never click on an email attachment
from people you dont know.

Avoid visiting suspicious sites


because you could accidently
download a virus.

computer. An antivirus warns you

provide a free virus scanning online.

examples of antiviruses you can
