Texas State Aquarium

Sea adventures at every turn

AquArium cAmps offer knowledge, fun for All Age groups

Children of all ages and interests will find something to love

about the camps offered at the
Texas State Aquarium this summer and into September.
For the little ones theres
story time with a parent, where
reading and learning about
wildlife are combined to build
early language skills and pique
their curiousity for nature.
For younger children beginning at pre-kindergarten, weekly camps offer a wide range of
activities appropriate to their
age, including creative play
and science discovery. These
camps, for the SeaSquirts, are
offered in two sessions each day,
morning and afternoon.
The next groups include students entering first grade on up
and are from 9 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
each day, five days a week. By
the time campers are entering
the fourth grade, they get to participate in an overnight stay at
the aquarium as a part of their
camp experience.
Campers entering the eight
and ninth grade get a behindthe scenes look at the aquarium
and take part in the discoveries during an Archimedes boat
trip, plus an overnight stay at
