Dopa:
good to support BP after resuscitation.
REMEBER: fluid BEFORE always.
Eect is dose dependent:
low 1-2 micrograms/kg/min: dilates mesenteric and renal vessels
medium 4-5 micrograms/kg/min: mainly beta eect on the heart
high 10-12 micrograms/kg/min: mainly alpha eect on blood vessels
Adeno:
Dose: 6 mg IV push
as fast as possible (over 1-2 seconds) and at the site closest to the heart and
then raise the arm
half life is only 10 seconds
if second dose needed, do 12 mg
may cause transient asystole
