performing high knees and but
kicks.

Introduction- Teacher will go over

the focus of the day (wiffleball
batting), safety, start and stop
signals, and any questions.

to grip the bat as the ready

Start and Stop signals- one
whistle to start. two whistles to
stop, students must place
equipment at their feet and have
eyes on the teacher.

Activity 1: Students will be split

up into groups of 4. 1 person
from each group will pick up a
bat and stand around the center
circle of the soccer field, facing
away from each other. Another
person in each group will pick up
a ball and kneel down next to the
batter. The student with the ball
will then underhand soft toss the
ball to the batter, who will hit the
ball into the field where the other
two group members are waiting
to chase the ball. Students get 10
hits each before rotating
positions.

Activity 2: After each student has

batted, the students will then soft
toss 2 balls to the batter, who will
have to track one of them and
make contact it the bat.

stand 10 yards in front of the
batter and pitch an underhand
throw.

Activity 4: Students will play a

modified game of wiffleball. All of
the same rules of baseball apply
(teacher pitches ball) except that
there are unlimited outs. The
inning ends when each student
has gotten a chance to hit. No
balls or strikes in this game.

all equipment and meet in the
gymnasium
Closure- Teacher will review the
correct way to hold the bat as
well as being in the ready

inside locker room to change
