Mr Ghomesni and I have thet weekly, with rare interruptions, for a total of 61
appointments to date, since November 12, 2014 On those occasions when Mr
Ghomeshi ha been unabl to attend office appointments we consult by phone or
Skype
Our sessions have focused on the social and personal factors related to the specific
charges consequences of these charges and strategies for managing anxiety
In our conversations, Mr Ghomeshi and I have explored dynamics of power and
control, and the intersections between gender and social constructions of status and
influence Weve looked dosely into the distinctions between intntion and impact,
especially when there are differences in power between persons
We also examined the effects of discourses related to male dominance and success,
strategies for managing stress and anxiety, effective expressions of anger, and
paradigms of intimacy
Mr Ghomeshi has been a highly engaged participant, examining these inter-personal
issues with great commitment and focus He comes prepared to our sessions with
reflections, insights and questions of concern He continues to take accountabihty
for his choices and actions, and continues to explore and practice skills that support
healtnier relationships
I have no doubt that Mr Ghomeshi will continue to reflect on these issues going
forward, and will be happy to support him in that work
