Welcome to Advanced Placement Environmental Science. Over the summer enjoy being outside as much as you can. Take a day trip down to
the Indiana Dunes, or visit one of our many State Parks. I have a couple of suggestions for each of you. First, watch the movie HOME. It is
available on-line, NETFLIX etc. In a composition book neatly write your name on the outside and enter the date of your first entry. (the
answers to the above 125 questions) Next, in a 2-pocket folder put this handout in the Left pocket. Be sure to put your name on the folder as
well. You are to bring this to class the first day of school. Leave your text book at home where you will be doing your homework. I have a
class set for each of you. This first assignment is worth 125 points.
Suggestions: I would suggest an AP Environmental Science Review book to help prepare you for the test in May for college credit.
Look for the most recent edition of the Barrons book. Another, good book is brand new and is very good. It is called AP
Environmental Science Crash Course by Gayle Evans, M.Ed. Choose the one that you like best. You will keep this at home.
There are a box of flashcards you can purchase if you are interested. I am not mandating any of these support materials.
However, many students enjoy using them for added review.
