application of Dan Huygens. I have worked with Dan for more than eight years, and consider
him to be an individual of the highest integrity. I can truthfully state that he is a deserving
candidate of consideration at your law school, and you will be proud to have him as a student at
your institution.
Dan first worked for me as a laborer in my small business, Panther Properties of PA, which
renovates and manages several rental properties in the Pittsburgh area. Dan has always been a
dedicated, loyal and reliable employee, which was a significant factor in the early growth and
success of my young business. Dan worked throughout high school and college offering up his
weekends, holidays and summers to focus on various construction projects.
Shortly after starting his employment with Panther Properties, Dan demonstrated that he also
possessed strong leadership skills, and both clients and other employees looked to Dan for
direction and reassurance on projects. Because of Dans extraordinary leadership, our team was
able to meet pressing deadlines and successfully accomplish projects for clients in both a timely
and satisfactory manner. As such, he was quickly promoted to a foreman and supervisor.
During the time that Ive known Dan, it has become apparent to me that he is committed to his
family, his work, his academics, his ethics and, most of all, his commitment to help others. For
example, Dan used the skills he learned working for this company, and applied them as a
volunteer for Habitat for Humanity after Hurricane Katrina. In fact, as soon as he arrived on the
Mississippi Gulf Coast, it became apparent that he possessed both the construction skills

necessary to build the teams project, but also the leadership skills to lead other volunteers to a
successfully completed project.
I have a great deal of respect for Dan and am proud to be able to provide this letter of
recommendation. I have no doubt that he will use the same skills he demonstrated to me during
his employment to fully dedicate himself to his academic pursuits, and to ultimately represent
