TWY Restriction
TWYs L11-L8, Q7, Q8, P2, P6, P7, U1-U7, UB AVBL for ACFT up to code letter E.
Taxi/Parking
When leaving the RWY, if taxiing instructions have not been received, ACFT must stop at the end of exit
TWY segment.
Visual docking guidance system: A2, A3, A12, B1-B6, C2-C6, C12, D2-D6, D12, E1-E6, F4-F6, FE, F45.
Guidance service with follow-me will be not provided for access to any stand, except corporate aviation,
code letter D or higher ACFT parking in Ramp 3, stands 290-298 in Ramp 15 and contact PSN without
docking guidance in exceptional cases and on pilot in command REQ.
Low Visibility Procedures
LVP activated by ATIS or COM when:
RWY 25R:
- RVR is 600m or below with any transmissometer of RWY in use.
- Cloudbase is equal or below 75m.
RWY 25L:
- RVR is 800m or below with any transmissometer of RWY in use.
- Cloudbase is equal or below 75m.
RWY 07R:
- RVR is 650m or below with any transmissometer of RWY in use.
- Cloudbase is equal or below 90m.
RWY 02/20 not usable when LVP in force.
Ramp 31 not usable when LVP in force.
ACFT push-back from/to Ramps 30 and 32 not allowed when LVP in force.

Standard Taxi Routes in LVP
Standard Taxi Routes are described in the corresponding LVP Chart.
Non-standard taxiing instructions and lighting will be provided by ATC in case:
- DEPs on RWY 07L are required when in East configuration ARR/DEP RWY 07R.
- DEPs on RWY 25R are required when in West configuration ARR/DEP RWY 25L or West configuration
ARR RWY 25R / DEP RWY 25L.
ARR
LDG CLR shall be received before passing 2NM from touchdown, unless advised of late CLR.
Notify in the first communication to TWR when unable to leave the RWY through the specified exits.
ACFT may be instructed to notify ILS sensitive area vacated in case of ATC surveillance system incidence.
Report LSA vacated:
- RWY 25R: If exit to the north, when yellow lights of the TWY CL (from alternating green and yellow
lights) finish.
If exit to the south, once TWY N is entered or crossed.
- RWY 07R/25L: once TWY K is entered or crossed.
ACFT leaving the RWY will have priority over those taxiing, unless otherwise specified by ATC.

Stands at Terminal
Use of APU restricted to 2min after on-block and 5min before off-block time.
Exceptions:
- if stand is not equipped with AC power (400Hz) and mobile GPU not AVBL.
- if air condition is required and no ACU AVBL
Remote stands:
Use of APU restricted to 10min after on-block and 10min before off-block time, except for wide-bodied
ACFT that may be allowed to use APU 15min after on-block and 50min before off-block time.
Exceptions:
- if stand is not equipped with AC power (400Hz) and mobile GPU not AVBL.

Engine run-up Areas
Engine tests higher than idle PWR shall be performed:
- TWY T2 facing west parallel to RWY 07L/25R.
- TWY M1 facing east parallel to RWY 07L/25R.
Warnings
Possible MLA VOR coverage failure below FL240. Radar assistance AVBL.
PRA VOR unusable: R254-029 below 3000ft.
SLL VOR unusable: R060-100 and R170-190.
LOC 25R: LOC signal is not perceived between 17NM and 25NM, and below 3000ft.

Speed
Within Barcelona TMA, unless otherwise advised by ATC, speed adjustment under radar control on ARRs
shall be in accordance with:
- IAS 250KT on SLP.
Speed on APCH:
- Speed will not be reduced below 160KT until reaching 4NM to THR.
- ACFT with a cruising IAS below those indicated above, shall maintain cruising speed up to the
adjustment point of their concern.
If unable to comply, inform ATC.

COM Failure
On STAR, before IAF:
Proceed to assigned IAF, maintain last cleared and acknowledged LVL or ALT and enter HLDG. Start
descent after completing a HLDG pattern, or at EAT when received, whatever is later, and start APCH
to RWY in use, land within 30min.
On radar vector before IAF:
Proceed according STAR in most direct way, to IAF, follow COM failure on STAR.
On radar vector after IAF:
Maintain last acknowledged authorized ALT and continue APCH and land, if unable follow MISAP with
COM failure.
MISAP with COM failure: Do not initiate MISAP before MAPT.
Be aware! MISAP RWY 07L and RWY 02 COM failure HLDG PROC:
SLL VOR/DME Inbound 175, MIN 5000ft, left turns.
VOR 07L and ILS 07L:
Climb on R059 BCN until 4000ft, turn left direct to SLL, climb to 5000ft and hold.
ILS 07R and VOR 07R:
Climb on track 066 until 500ft, turn right (MAX IAS 185KT) HDG 229, intercept and follow R179 PRA,
intercept and follow R124 VLA to D39 VLA climb to 4000ft and hold at VIBIM.
ILS 25R:
Climb on R246 until D5 BCN, turn left intercept and follow R242 BCN climb to 3500ft. Turn right direct
to SLL, climb to 6000ft and hold.
VOR 25R:
Climb on R246 BCN until 3500ft, turn right direct to SLL, climb to 6000ft and hold.
ILS 25L:
Climb on RWY HDG until 500ft, turn left (MAX IAS 185KT), intercept and follow R238 PRA until D8.8 PRA,
turn left intercept and follow R120 VNV. Maintain 1500ft until cross R192 PRA. Maintain HDG 120 VNV
until R213 CLE, turn left intercept and follow R210 CLE direct to RULOS, climb to 4000ft and hold.
VOR 25L:
Climb on track 246 until 600ft, turn left (MAX IAS 185KT), intercept and follow R169 PRA until D14 PRA,
turn left intercept and follow R210 CLE direct to RULOS, slim to 4000ft and hold.
ILS 02:
Climb on RWY HDG to 500ft, turn right (MAX IAS 185KT ), intercept R054 PRA climb to 4000ft. Turn left
SLL, climb to 5000ft and hold.
VOR/LOC 02:
When reaching MAPt turn right (MAX IAS 185KT) to follow R054 PRA, climb to 4000ft. Turn left to SLL,
climb to 5000ft and hold.
ARR ACFT in LVP
If just landed, ACFT shall maintain PSN after vacating ILS sensitive area and wait for follow-me.
If ATC taxiing CLR is obtained, continue by the assigned route and stop at the ATC CLR limit, taking
extreme caution. Maintain the PSN and wait for follow-me.

During SID
Follow the SID up to the point where the TMA is abandoned, climbing to the last approved FL
acknowledged or to the MSA, whatever is higher, maintain such LVL for 7min complying in any case with
the MAX FL120 specified for ACFT with COM failure in the appropriate DEP chart, and then continue flight
in accordance with the updated FPL.
During DEP with radar vectors
Intercept in most direct way last SID procedure given by ATC and continue the COM FAIL PROC during
SID. If SID CLR has not been received, proceed to intercept the appropriate SID up to the point where
the TMA is abandoned and in accordance with the type of navigation expressed in the updated FPL.
DEP ACFT in LVP
Continue on the assigned route and stop at the ATC CLR limit, taking extreme caution. Maintain the PSN
and wait for follow-me.

Departure Procedure
Start-up/Push-back
Be ready for towed push-back or taxi within 5min to approved start-up time otherwise contact ATC.
All ACFT with wingspan 52m / 171ft and above or vertical empenage 14.86m / 49ft and above inform
GND on initial contact.
ENG start higher than idle PWR prohibited at all stand PSNs in contact with terminal, until push-back
is completed.
Code letter F ACFT must taxi with its external ENG in idle regime.
Intersection TKOF
RWY 25R intersection Y2, Y4, Z2, Z3, Z4.
RWY 07L intersection Y5, Y6, Y7, Z5, Z6, Z7.
If TKOF from beginning of RWY 07L or RWY 25R must inform ATC during first contact with GND.
Minimum Runway Occupancy Time (MROT)
When the corresponding CLR is issued, taxi to TKOF PSN in the RWY as soon as the preceding DEP ACFT
or the preceding ARR ACFT had passed their HLDG PSN.
Initiate TKOF immediately after CLR is issued.
If unable to comply inform ATC ASAP and once in contact with TWR.
Departure Note: LOBAR: Only for TFC via UN-725.
Noise Abatement Procedure
SID RNAV will be preferably adopted for ACFT with performances that allow them to reach the MNM ALT
in the relevant points of initial segment of the SID.
All ACFT which cannot comply with the previous instructions and ACFT flying in conventional SID, will
adopt ICAO standard NADP1.
RWY 25L: Except for EMERG reasons, do not surpass R235 VOR/DME BCN in initial turn.
Except for safety reasons, follow SID until reach 6000ft, unless being over the sea, above 3500ft, in
ascent and moving away from the coastline or at more than 3NM from the coast and in parallel to it.

FAM (Flight Activation Monitoring) in use. In order to avoid FPL being cancelled automatically, EOBT must
be actualized and ETOT/CTOT must be accomplished.
Airport Collaborative Decision Making (CDM)
CDM concept in use at this airport. See GenPart ADR Chapter 6 and in addition:
Contact DLV:
- REQ start-up CLR and report the need for performing a cross-bleed start if required.
- Report type and series of ACFT, stand and ATIS code.
- REQ delay information for ENG start.
- Report possible restriction to comply with local regulations (RNAV equipment, TKOF performance,
etc).
The flight will lose its TOBT and start-up approval if CLR has not received the start-up REQ 5min after
TOBT.
Contact CLR 5 min with regard to TOBT. Push-back request shall be in the respective GND FREQ and
start before 5min from start-up CLR.
When cross-bleed start is required, CLR should be requested to GND.

De-Icing
De-icing of ACFT with wingspan larger than 51m / 167ft carried out at parking stands.
De-icing of ACFT up to 51m / 167ft wingspan carried out in stands of Ramp 17 or Ramp 14:
- Report need for de-icing when REQ start-up CLR.
- Maintain permanent watch on corresponding GND FREQ (GND-S for Ramp 17 and GND-N for Ramp
14).
- Carry out the de-icing operation with idle ENG regime and ready for TKOF situation or stopped ENGs
using ACFT APU.
- When de-icing operation finished, notify ready for DEP to the corresponding GND FREQ.
