Sealed bids can be submitted to the Purchasing Department, Room 240,
1350 Port of New Orleans Place, New Orleans, LA 70130 on or before June 15th at 10am. Bids will be publically opened there for the sale of items listed on the website. Please submit bid in the following manner, identify equipment or vehicle by the: item number, description, and bid price. DATE & TIME: All sealed bids will be opened on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 10am. LOCATION & INSPECTION: Inspection of sale items will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 9am to 12pm at 4625 N. Galvez Street, New Orleans, LA. No other arrangements will be made for inspection of the items. Methods of Payments: Acceptable forms of payment are cash, cashiers check, or money order. A refundable deposit of five percent (5%) of the total bid price will be required to be remitted by cash, cashiers check, or money order for each successful bid. The successful bidder shall pay in full (less deposit) for each item when he/she takes delivery of items. Payments can be made on day of pickup. Removal of Purchased Property: The successful bidder may pick up their items from 10am-1pm on Thursday June 16 or Friday, June 17. All purchased equipment or vehicles will be removed at the sole expense of the successful bidder. No assistance will be provided for loading or removal. The successful bidder shall bring their Bill of Sale showing proof of payment with them to pick up their item(s) from the same location as the inspection. Successful bidder of property that has a title, vehicles (Items 1-23), must make arrangements to sign title transfer paperwork prior to date of pickup. The Board of Commissioners of the Port of New Orleans will not be responsible for any sold items after the close of sale.
