A survey taken May 21 23 in the race for the Democratic nomination in Iowas Third Congressional District
shows Mike Sherzan surging to a 14 point edge over Jim Mowrer, 43 percent 29 percent.1 Mowrer forfeited
his advantage after entering the race with a healthy lead due to residual name identification he built from a
failed bid in a neighboring district. Sherzan leads broadly, besting Mowrer among voters 40 and older, among
both men and women, in the city of Des Moines, suburban Polk County and the rest of the district, among both
liberals and moderates, and among voters both with and without a college education.

With just a few days left before the election, Sherzans lead and his profile in the district puts him in a strong
position to win the Democratic nomination for the Third Congressional District on Tuesday.

Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research conducted a survey of 400 likely 2016 Democratic primary voters in Iowas Third Congressional
District from May 21 23, 2016. The survey had a margin of error of +/- 4.9 percent.
