Mowrer, Sherzan Locked in Very Close Race for IA-3 Democratic Nomination
The race for the Democratic nomination in Iowas 3rd Congressional District is still too
close to call, with Jim Mowrer holding a 36 35 percent advantage over Mike Sherzan,
according to a poll taken late last week. Desmund Adams wins 12 percent. 1
Mowrers advantage is slightly wider (39 36 percent) among voters who have voted in
at least two of the past three Democratic primaries, those who are most likely to turnout next
Tuesday. Additionally, Mowrer holds a 5-point edge (44 39 percent) among voters who can
identify both candidates and a 13-point lead among self-described liberals (40 27 percent).

Mowrers advantage with liberals, well-informed voters, and highly motivated voters
well positions him for a strong showing on June 7th.

Survey among 400 likely voters in the Democratic primary contest in Iowas 3rd Congressional District. Interviews
were conducted between May 24-25 on land lines and cell phones. Results carry a margin of error of +/- 4.9
percentage points at the 95 percent confidence interval.
