were going back to Steak & Burger celebrating the 35th Anniversary. Our Community Hero is Jennifer

invited about 150 of our kids for a day of sports with all the players.
Chris pointed out an article from the TBT in the packet regarding how the life expectancy had dropped
for our next generation of kids. Article was from the TBT.
Chris then spoke about Youth Impact & Growth, the SPARK Strategic Plan through 2019. (Presentation
available upon request). 2016 Proposed Actions: 1) North Tampa cancel agreement with City of
Tampa in June, focus efforts on expansion to Jeff and Penny Vinik Club at Winston Park; 2) Zonta
merge operations with Salvation Army beginning in June; 3) Port Richey transition operations to Paul
Smith Middle School in August; 4) Smith Salesian, merge operations with Christo Rey High School in
August. 5) Outsource IT support and management of systems to vendor;
The urban communities are changing are we are losing kids in the West Tampa area, by next fall, we
will be serving 50 kids at that location. It is the same trend at Nick Capitano and Garcia Salesian in
Tampa Heights. Once we know where the community is headed, we will know what direction we need
to go.
Eddie wanted an understanding of the liquidation of old clubs, a page that would summarize the hard
cost, the liability and that we needed to be artful on how this information is communication and we
needed to get ahead of it. Debbie can provide the value of all clubs discussed. We need to start the
process, and know that the potential main point is that our kids currently being served are taken care of.
Marc made a Motion to allow Chris L. to move forward on looking into closing the North Tampa and
Zonta locations, along with proceed looking into the IT solution. Eddie seconded. Motion passed.
Luis stated the issue with the school board and we do not have the same relationship with current school
board members. Chris L. stated he was invited to meet next week and they are supporting the BGC.
