Theseartistsareveryimportantbecausethesethreeartistsusedtheirtalentstocreatevery
livelyportraits.Theseartistsaresimilarbecausetheyusetheirtalentsanddifferenttechniquesto
depictsometimesabstractscenariosthatdepictnature.Michelangelocreatespiecesbasedonreal
detailsofpeople,hesometimesusesmarbletocreatehispieces.ClaudeMonetusesuses
differentshadesofpainttodepictnaturalscenestoshowreallife.JacksonPollockcreates
abstractimagesbysplatteringpaintinspecificordertodepictanabstractaspectoflife.These
threeartistsaffectmyviewofartbecausetheytookdifferentobjectsanduseddifferent
techniquesinwhichtheyturnedintoart.Thisencouragesmetogoaroundlifeandlookfor
materialsthatpeoplewouldnotthinkofusing,tocreateart.Theseartistsareveryinspirational
andtheyallapproacheddifferentaspectsinlifethatencouragethemtopartakeinalifeofart.

Michelangelowasanamazingartist.HeisknownforthesculptureofDavid,paintingthe
SistineChapel,andcreatingthestatueofMaryholdingJesus(Michelangelo).Hewasbornon
March6th,1475anddiedonFebruary18,1564attheageof88(HistoryMichelangelo).He
livedinCaprese,ItalyanddiedinRome(Michelangelo).Allhislifehewasaroundhisfamily
whowerestonecutters,andwasalsoinfluencedtopaintwhenhewatchedthechurchpainters
paintthestainglasswindowsofthechurch.
Whenhebecameanartisthewasinfluencednotonlybyhisfamily,andthechurch
painters,butDomenicoGhirlandaioaswell(Michelangelo).Whilehewaslearningtobeanartist
hestudiedunderBertoldodiGiovanniwhowasanItalianRenaissancesculptor(Michelangelo2,
TheEditors).Afterhebecameafamousartistheinfluencedmanyotherartistsaswell.The
artiststhatMichelangelohasinfluencedwerePontorno,Baroque,andRaphael.Heinfluenced
thesepeoplebecauseheusedstrongandnonflexibleobjectssuchasmarbletocreate
sculptures.Healsousedpainttodepictthereallifeimagesofpeoplebasedonstoriesthatwere
toldinscriptures.Inhispiecesheusedhisfaithtodepictrealimagesbasedonthestoriesand
truthwritteninthesacredscripture,

Michelangelossculpturesandpaintingsarewellknownforbeingverydetailedand

calledEugeneBoudin(Claude).
WhenhemetEugeneBoudinhebecamefondofnature,andbegantoexplore
it(Claude).Whenhepaintedthesceneshetookpaintedthebeautyofeverydetail.Hispaintings
inspiredmanypeople.SomeofthepeopleheinspiredwereJacksonPollock,MarkRothkoand
WillemdeKooning(Claude).Hewasfamousforthedifferentbrushstrokesthatoutlinedlifes

TheSanGiorgioMaggioreAtDuskpaintingisthecityofSanGiorgioMaggioreinthe
sunset.Tocreatehispieceheusedwarmcolorsforthesunsetandcoolcolorsfortheedgeofthe

water.Healsoblendedthetwocolorstocreatearippleeffectinthewater.Healsousedashade
ofblacktopaintthecitybecausethatpartofthecityisintheshade.Thefocuspointthat
capturestheviewerseyeisthemiddlewheretheskytouchesthesea.Thisartistinfluencesme

JacksonPollockwasagreatartisthiswayofcreatingartwascarefullyblendingcolorsin
simplestrokes,swirls,andjustspattersofpainttocreateabstractpicture.Hewasbornon
January28,1912anddiedonAugust111956,attheageof44(Jackson).Helivedin
Cody,Wyoming,andmovedtoEastHamptonNewYork(Jackson).Hestartedbecomeanartist
whenhemovedtoNewYorkandstudiedunderhisbrotherCharlessartschoolwhichwas
calledManualArtHighSchools(Jackson).Hispaintingswereallabstract.
HestudiedunderhisbrothersteacherandbecameagreatartistintheUnitedStates.He
wasalsoinfluencedbyClaudeMonet.JacksonPollockalsousedCubism,Surrealism,and
Expressionism(JacksonPollock2)inhispieces.

andpicturesfromscripture.Monetusednatureasaninspirationforhispaintings.Pollockused
hisimaginationtocreatehisscriptures.Theseartistsalsoallinfluencethedifferentcultures
becauseitbringsavastpartofthereligionandcreativityintothesecultures.Italsodepictsthe
environmentaroundtheculture.ThemessagesIcantakeawayfromtheseartistsisnomatter
whattheartistdoesheorsheshouldalwaysstaytruetotheirfaith,natureiswonderfulandwe
shouldcaptureitsbeauty,andourimaginationisabeautifulthingthatweshouldopenupto.
