Dear ___:
The Department of Science and Technology- Information and
Communications Technology Office, in partnership with the Philippine
Software Industry Association, Intel Philippines and the Philippine
Society of IT Educators launched the Philippine Startup Challenge (PSC)
2016 a student startup competition that aims to encourage college students to
create innovative technologies that address real life problems and have potential
to become viable business ventures.
Now on its 3rd year, the Challenge is geared towards attracting a wider range of
entries. Aside from its coverage of software technology startups, the Challenge
now also welcomes hardware innovations that involve the application of
Internet of Things (IOT) concepts through a dedicated track supported by Intel
Philippines.
In preparation for the Challenge, Lean Startup 101 and IOT Bootcamps will be
conducted for College Professors in key areas to ensure that potential team
coaches are equipped with the necessary tools and skills to efficiently coach
student teams in building their own startup / IOT innovations. The bootcamps
will run in 4 locations around the country to cover the basics of setting up a tech
startup business as well as IOT concepts. Locations and dates for the bootcamp
