conjugal partnership, such amount would be due her anyway. Is the court correct? Explain.

things cool down between him and his wife. He left on January 2, 2004. While he was abroad,
his wife gave birth to a boy on August 2004. Rolando claimed that he is not the father of the
child. Is he correct? Explain.

action to claim their inheritance as Ramonas legal heirs. Violeta intervened claiming to be the
illegitimate daughter of Ramona, invoking Art. 170 FC. Is Violeta correct? Explain.

Lagalag fatally shot his classmate Minalas at the school auditorium.
Minalas was in school to submit a physics project. The schools principal contends that the
semester had already ended at that time. Earlier, the Dean of Boys earlier confiscated an
unlicensed gun from one of the students and returned it to the latter without taking disciplinary
action or reporting the matter to higher authorities. This gun turned out to be the one used in
Minalas killing. Who is liable for the death of Minalas? Explain.

Isabel Valdes Washington, filed a petition for the adoption of one Ana
Isabel Henriette Antonio Concepcion Georgiana, 2 yrs. and 10 mos. old, then under the
custody of the Hospicio de San Jose. After hearing, the lower court granted the petition. She
then moved that the surname given to the minor be "Valdes Washington" instead of "Valdes"
only, but this motion the lower court denied. Was the court correct? Explain.

"Petition to resume the use of maiden name." Such petition was denied on the ground that
petition was substantially a change of name and that compliance with the provisions of Rule
103, ROC on change of name is necessary if the petition is to be granted. Was the court

Agricultural Credit Administration when he died. Shortly after Emilio's death, Corazon filed a
letter claim in behalf of Michael for death benefits. The letter was signed "Corazon L. Perez."
Miriam Perez, his legitimate wife filed a complaint leading to Corazons prosecution for illegal
use of alias. The court convicted Corazon. Was the court correct? Explain.

that he had been absent from their conjugal dwelling for more than 7 years and since then had
not been heard from and his whereabouts unknown. She alleged that he left no will or any
property in his name or any debts. After hearing, the court dismissed the petition. Was the
