The start
Seb voice over
Hi my names seb and Im 17 years old and I am going to be
doing an important project on no sleep, I am a student at
The Henley-college and I study creative media and French.

Introduction of what I will be talking about

Seb Piece to camera
Rhetorical question Do we really need to sleep every
night of the week?
After this i will have a brief talk on how i will
try and not sleep for 100 hours straight and test
my bodys capacity

Well were here to put this to the test

seb voice over
Video in the background of side effects ex
I will then talk about all of the common effects and consequences of
not having any sleep
It turns out that if one actively prevents sleep for a
prolonged period of time, which some people have tried,
severe side effects pile on rapidly. All symptoms
increase in severity as new ones appear:
* After missing one night of sleep, expect fatigue,
reduced attention span and problems with short-term
memory.
* After missing 2 to 3 nights, one will also suffer poor
coordination, muscle twitches, marked loss of
concentration, impaired judgment, blurred vision, nausea,
and slurring of speech. Often one will experience
episodes of microsleep (briefly sleeping for a few
seconds at a time, without being aware of it).
* At about 4 to 5 days without sleep, expect extreme
irritability, hallucinations, and delusional episodes.
* After about 6 to 8 missed nights, add slowed speech,
tremors in limb extremities, memory lapse, confusion
concerning ones own identity, unusual behaviour, and
paranoia to the list.
* After 9 to 11 nights without sleep, fragmented thinking
occurs (beginning sentences without completing them), and
prolonged episodes of unresponsive conscious stupor.

I will then go on and interview a few people from loads of different

ages and ask some of the following questions to them.
Seb
What is your thought on sleep deprivation?
Would you try this yourself?

Do you think this is dangerous?

Do you have any experience in this domain?
How did this affect you? e.g angry, irritated, change in
performance?
Did you do anything/ take anything to counter the
symptoms when you tried something similar?

documentation and talk about the physical and mental challenges I
will attempt to do.

the no sleep challenge. I am going to start it off with a
a few simple mind tests and a physical test and then see

how we go from there I will be updating you with

information throughout the day.
Seb piece to camera
It is now 3AM the next day so technically day 2 Im
feeling pretty tired right now but I think once it gets
to the day Ill feel fine again just need to over-come
the sleepiness.
seb piece to camera
Its 10AM Im on my way to college just had my 2nd caffeine
drink. I feel okay-ish but im ready to take the day on,
not looking forward to that 100m sprint though.
seb piece to camera
Its been an hour after I just did the sprint I think
its going to be hard to continue tonight, I think Im
just going to need to eat every few hours and not have
too much of a big meal so I dont crash.
