Bansangmoro Basic LawOnce the Bansangmoro bill is passed by the House of the

Representatives and Senate after finally signed by the President, it will

eventually become a law. It will create an autonomous or independent state
separate from the Philippine territory or sovereignty which establishes a
Bansangmoro Islamic Republic.
As
provided by the said law, the national government will act or serve as
overseer, guide and ally since the newly-created which is semidependent/independent in some aspects. Like a mother to a child, the
national government should sufficiently sustain or provide the necessary aids
or support until the new Bansangmoro government can stand and take care
of its own. We should be sensitive to their needs as we reminded in our past
history that we also passed that stages during our struggles and efforts for
independence from the Unites States. It finally granted us a Commonwealth
government as prerequisite in preparing us towards self-rule that would
establish us as fully sovereign nation as we are today.
Sincerity is the key in achieving the goal for independence which
should be demanded or required from the Bansangmoro government which
include the participatory role of the national government in this endeavor.
Our government should sincerely to give necessary assistance and not
abandon its responsibility on the new Bansangmoro government and its
constituents in its growth and development until they become self-reliant
and fully independent. However, the Bansangmoro leadership should draw
inspirations from East Timor (once a part of Indonesia sovereignty) which
also undergone such ordeals and yet with united efforts in all sectors
sustained their economy by foreign aids and gradually developed their
natural resources and enhancing their tourism and local business deals to
create revenues while also attracting foreign investors to invest in their
country.
In the process, the Bansangmoro people
must prove themselves competent for self-rule by electing a true and
dedicated leader who is brilliant, peace-loving and honest that will lead and
guide their new nation towards unity and progress.
As a matter of principle, there must be a mutual respect between
the Bansangmoro and our national government while observing the policy
and guidelines in order to live in harmony as good neighbors in spite of their
respective religious beliefs, political ideologies and cultural differences.
As
policy,
the Bansangmoro and our government should reject all form of war in any
conflict or dispute but should observe diplomatic ways of negotiation or
compromise for common good. The Mamampasano incident taught us an
important lesson that mutual respect and diplomacy should be adhere and
applied as their foreign policy to maintain peace and understanding.
Bansangmoro should end all form of terroristic activities in order to be
recognized by the international community or United Nations. They should
avoid expansionism and extremism ideology but be contented with their
claimed patrimony and adhere to their national identity with integrity, dignity
and conscience as a peaceful and growing nation co-existing with other
peaceful nations in the world.

As history turns its next new pages, the Philippines and Bansangmoro
governments should move forward and forget the dark past with
remembrance while confronting the challenges of the present and facing the
future with hope in peace and harmony.
