NOTE: In part 2 you are asked to evaluate YouTube videos of functional
strategies it is important that you view those early in the preparation
of assignment 2 Part 1 to provide additional assistance.

PART 1 REPORT 35% weighting - 100 MARKS DUE 1st

Individual Assignment. This assignment will be focused on the company
you worked on for assignment one and will form two parts as identified
below.

Executive Summary

Introduction

Based on your major, e.g. Operations, Human Resources, or Marketing,


you will, as the manager prepare a strategy for the functional area for
which you have responsibility. The functional strategy must fit with
the strategy of the company developed for Project 1 of
Assignment 1.

(a) Identify the issues you should/would like to discuss with the other
functional areas as they may affect how you will develop your
functional strategy. Indicate why prior knowledge of them is important
to the preparation of the functional strategy.

Search for 4 YouTube videos that relate to your major specific area
taking a functional approach to preparing a strategy to meet the
requirements of the proposed company strategy prepared in
Assignment 1. Critique each one individually.

done more in depth reading about strategy and your functional courses

you to do better in your studies but also provided a greater ability to
understand and assess businesses and opportunities in the work place.
