ready. Data from civil contractor shall be checked dan
verified. For Alignment purposed use theodolit / water pass
to make sure the correct level. Any different level maked
the civil contractor shall be repaired.
Check again the foundation as per the drawing dimensions
by surveyor. If OK, put mark centre line on the foundation.
c. Check the anchor bolts for correct location and straightness
with respect to the equipment.
d. The surface of the foundation to be cleaned all dirt, oil, and
any loose materials and roughened by chipping with brush
hammer.
e. The padding plate to be set just beside the anchor bolts
within 6 mm of the anchor bolt, except where the bolt is
mounted in a sleeve, then the plates shall be placed as
close as to the bolts as possible.

f. All the shims are in contact with the concrete base shall be
seated and leveled in the grout area to ensure the solid
positioning of shims prior to setting the equipment in place.
g. All the shim materials set in grout shall be AISI 316
stainless steel or approved equal.
h. Check the elevation of padding the plate by surveyor and
correct if needed before installation of equipment.
i. Remove all protective coatings, crating and packing of
equipment at the time of assembly. Remove protective
coating by using approved solvents to protect the surface
of equipment.
j. The coverings of the equipment nozzles shall remain kept
closed until the time of piping connections to be made.
5.2. Lifting Preparation
a. Check the Equipment which to installed. Check the Lifting and
or tailing Lugs position. Make sure all lifting and or tailing lugs
provided.
b. Check the manual or instruction from Equipment Vendor. Make
sure that any critical part removed if required. The supervision
by Vendor Equipment shall be needed if required.
c. Check & Mark the orientation in foundation. Make sure the
dimension is correct dan fitted to the equipment. Refference
drawing shall be needed.
d. Check and make sure that all part such as bolt & nut, gasket,
etc that part of equipment are ready before installed.
e. Install barricade and safety sign before installation
f. Make sure the webbing capacity.
g. Shackle and sling must be center of material
h. Make sure that no activities in area of swing crane
i. Apply sling and shackle at lifting lug in both side
j. Hook of crane must be center gravity of equipment and
balanced in particular
k. Rigger and safety man checked tightening of tackle and sling
l. Only rigger can give instruction to the operator crane
m. Install barricade in loading crane activities

5.3. Transport Equipment to the foundation

a. Packaging shall be removed except the pallet. But if the
equipment is packed to the pallet dan bended with strip plate,
no needed to removed the packaging.

5.4.

Positioning of equipment / Pump Installation

a.

No burning, cutting or welding is permitted to the

equipment unless approved by Client.
b. Wire ropes shall not used on the machined surfaces for
moving of equipment or for alignment purpose.
c. Leveling shall be done with packing plates and shims to the
correct location and elevation given by surveyor.
d. Lift down equipment from truck.
e. Removed all stripped bend/plate that it is part of packaging
and also all tightening part to pallet.
f. Using webbing sling and appropriate crane capacity,
removed pump to the foundation. Make sure all in safety
manner.
g. Check of the center line of pump
h. Make sure level of foundation with water pas
i. Place the pump orientation as per lay out drawing and fit
the anchor bolt holes (Frame) to the foundation anchor.
j. Set the level with temporary straight liner , use water pass
to make sure the level is correct.
k. Tightened the anchor bolt.

5.5.

Pre Alignment

a. The drives and primary equipment are mounted on the

common base plate. The primary leveling shall be done
with surveying equipment using shims.
b. The dial indicators can be used for primary alignment of
equipment. The dial indicators shall be mounted on the
primary equipment and on the drive. Take care while
tightening anchor bolts to avoid angular mis alignment by
deflection of base. It shall be monitored by dial indicators
while tightening anchor bolt to an approved sequence.
c. The final tightening of anchor bolts can be done if the
primary equipment and base plate is leveled within 0.4mm
per meter when measured longitudinally, transversally, and
diagonally.
Alignment shall be in good condition with the requirements as shown below:
