Dear *:
After 95 years, League of Women Voters remains an influential nonpartisan political
organization. At this time, the political climate in the United States is dramatically
divided. In such times, the common-sense voice of League of Women Voters is
especially needed to encourage informed, active participation in government.
The League will have a new advocacy action network at the State House for next
term. They will monitor our priority issues, attend study committee meetings, and
promote League positions with legislators. To strengthen our position at the State
House, we need your support.
The League participates in various coalitions where we cooperate with like-minded
organizations to lobby, provide workshops, and host candidate debates. These
include the Indiana Coalition for Human Services, Indiana Debate Commission,
Common Cause, Healing our Waters, and the Health Access Privacy Alliance. To
continue these collective efforts, we need your support.
As the League moves toward its centennial in 2020, LWV of Indiana will focus on
the preservation and publication of state League history, educational projects, new
voter service initiatives, new League development, and membership growth. If you
share our vision for the League's future, please support us.
We have many ways to give:

Contributions to LWVIN are non-deductible and go to our General Fund.

These funds support projects such as development of local Leagues,
leadership development, and advocacy.
Contributions to LWVIN Education Fund are 501(c)(3) tax deductible to
the extent allowed by IRS regulation. These funds support voter service,
election reform efforts, educational projects, and political forums.
Contributions made to the Barbara E. Zimmer Memorial Fund are also tax
deductible. These funds support the preservation of the history of LWVIN.

League of Women Voters is where hands-on work to safeguard democracy leads to

civic improvement. LWV of Indiana needs your support. Please give generously!
Sincerely,

Erin Kelley, Co-President
