Page 6 of 8 Dakota - SSIS Chronology Summary: ee ‘The giris say they will not run from a foster home, but will run if they are returned home. Joint decision was made to place the girls on a 72 hour hold and place them in foster care, Interviewed Sam at the foster home on 11/23/15. Sam went through the family history with this worker. She was 12 when her parents divorced. Home life was awful prior to the divorce. They tip-toed around dad and he was physically abusive to her mom. Dad had ripped the leg off the organ and ran after mom. She would have bruises here and there. Dad was rough with Sam on occasion where he would grab her a few times and shook her. He was mostly emotionally abusive. Her dad would make comments like your boobs are looking big, he would grab her leg and massage her and this never felt good, it was uncomfortable. She realized her environment was not right, friends would comment and only hockey mattered to her dad. He was never at dance recitals, not at family dinners or family vacations. He drank a lot and was often at the bars. Once they were not with dad (ving with mom) there was no more toe-tipping and no more yelling. Sam said it felt good and she felt free in her own house. She was tired of therapists and GAL's. Then her aunt was to live with them then somehow custody was given back to dad but with the aunt living in the home. The police told them not to call unless someone was being killed. ‘Sam states she and her sister ran, They were told by so many people that they were being brain washed and need to be de-programmed. She never felt they were brain washed ‘Sam would not talk about how they took off or who was involved in that. She said she would not say anything without an attomey. The last time she saw mom was 4 years ago at ChuckeCheese. She never talked to mom while at the ranch. The biggest thing she was taught at the ranch was forgiveness. Sam stated “It was so great up there”. They were given hugs and love. She loves Doug and Gina and states Gina was like a mom to her. Sam states knowing her mom was scared that dad was going to kill her. She has no feelings of hurting herself or any self harm. She denies any inappropriate sexual contact while at the ranch. Sam states she will run if made to go back to dad Gianna was interviewed on 11/23/15. She reports that dad was always screaming at mom Neighbors called their home the "Scream House", She thought her home situation was normal as she didn't know any different. She has never had a strong relationship with her dad. He would take her to the bar after dance or hockey. She states a big weight was lifted off her shoulders after the divorce. Mom would have bruises from dad, she would never see this ocour but knew it had. She has seen him shove her. She feels her dad was mentally abusive, he was always yelling and “It took a toll on all of us’. She states they lived a dysfunctional life. She explained the time frame where they had an aunt live with them, then they had to go to another aunt. Her dad would stalk the house when they were with mom, He showed anger like “I’m going to kill you", She got no hugs growing up. One time after a hockey game her dad rubbed her inner thigh, Dad shoved mom often. She feels Doug and Gina gave up their lives for them. She felt at peace there, they talked about God and read the bible. They taught her to forgive. She stil feels fear of her dad, she does not know what he is like today. She states her dad has lied to her. She wants a relationship with him in the future but not while she is in his custody. ‘She wants to go to him when itis her choice or when she is ready. She does not want to live with him and she feels he still has control over her. She does not feel mom played role in her thoughts or feelings about her dad. She used to feel angeribitter but no longer does. She does not want therapy as she thinks she has it figured out with God and that God has a plan. She denies any inappropriate sexual contact at the ranch. Gianna states she will un if made to return to dad.
