How it works
Homebuyers are exempt from paying a 1.1%
recordation tax, and customarily, the seller’s 1.1%
transfer tax is credited the homebuyer at closing,
a 2.2% swing in favor of the homebuyer.

Qualifying homebuyers are also exempt from


paying real property taxes for 5 years beginning
the next full tax year after filing.
