BATTLE OF THE BANDS GUIDELINES

1. Each band must be composed of 3 – 5 members who are bona fide students
of Southwestern University College of Nursing. The band must fill up the
registration form in the SBO Office. Each member must present a photocopy
of their study load and I.D.
2. The band is allowed to play not more than three (3) songs, not more than 2 –
3 minutes each.
3. Foul language is prohibited. Any form of vulgar language in the song will lead
to the disqualification of the band.
4. The bands will be judged according to the following criteria:
Sound and Musicality  43%
Stage Presence  42%
Audience Impact  15%

5. The winner of the said contest will represent the college during the Siglakas
Battle of the Bands. There will only be one winner declared by the board of
judges. The decision of the judges is final.
6. The deadline of submission of entries will be on June 19, 2010 , 5:00 PM. The
event will be on June 26, 2010. It is advised that the bands bring their own
guitars.
