The IA Efficiency report is created using the following criteria:

 The Fire and Aviation Management Web Applications System provides the total
fires by state numbers based on Situation Reports.

 Large fires numbers are derived from a spreadsheet maintained by NICC. ICS-
209s are used to as the source for these numbers. All qualifying large fires
(excluding WFU and limited suppression), whether they appear in the IMSR or
not, are counted.

 Large fires are counted based on these criteria:

o Submitted ICS-209s (large fires that do not submit 209s may not get
counted).
o The NICC standard for what counts as a “large fire” (100 acres in timber,
300 acres in light fuels, or a T-1 or T-2 IMT is assigned).
o Wildland Fire Use and limited suppression fires are not included in the IA
Efficiency spreadsheet.
