ACADEMIC PROJECT SYNOPSIS:

TITLE : Speech Compression using LPC Algorithm.

DESCRIPTION : Speech compression is the act of tansforming the Pulse
Code Modulated(PCM) speech signal into a more
compact form without loss of necessary information,
which can be further be transmitted through a low
bandwidth channel.The motivation behind this work is
the fact that access to unlimited amount of bandwidth is
difficult in certain communication applications like
mobile and personal communication systems.Speech
compression makes it possible for a large number of
users to share the available channel under bandwidth
constraints.
