between 10 degree north and 10 degree south. The rainforest river flows from mountains to the west and reaches the Atlantic to the east. The river Basin drains portions of Brazil, parts of Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador, Columbia and a small part of Venezuela. Climate of the Amazon Basin • The Amazon basin stretches directly on the equator & is characterized by hot & wet climate throughout the year. • The day & nights are almost equally hot & humid. areas after clearing some trees in the forest. Aircraft & helicopters are also used for reaching various places. Bromeliads are special plants that
store water in their leaves. Animals like frogs use these pockets of water for laying their eggs. Terraces are built on steep slopes to create flat surfaces on which crops are grown.
