What does Jesus mean by “eat my

flesh and drank his blood”?

After reading the Lord’s Supper in 1 Corinthians 11:17-34 and
eternal life in John 6:47-51, 53-58 what did Jesus mean when he
said “eat my flesh and drank his blood”?

In John 1 we see that Jesus (Word was God) was made flesh to
save man from destruction. He commands us to eat (from the Tree
of Life) his word (Gen 3:22 and Rev. 22:14) which is how we get
understanding God's word through our obedience (Proverbs 4:1-7).
Just as we eat our food at home, Paul lets us know that if any man
be hungry let him eat at home which is how we are to understand
God's word by working on our issues of life in prayer to make
supplication to honoring our Father’s word (Ephesians 6:10-19 and
1 Kings 8:54). Remember that all things that pertain to the
Kingdom of God are spiritual as we strive against the works of the
flesh.

Now what is this blood that he tells us to drank?

Let’s read Matthew 26:28
"For this is my blood of the New Testament, which is shed for
many for the remission of sins." This remission of sins is entering
a eternal covenant that will pardon sins under the condition of our
obedience to righteousness which is being born of the Spirit and of
Water. John 3:5-6

Now go to Acts 2:38

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye
shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

The baptism prepares the way to for a believer to be sealed with

the hope of salvation by an eternal covenant through the
forgiveness and repentance.
 What does Jesus mean by “eat my
flesh and drank his blood”?
True repentance confesses the sin and avoids the path to return
once forgiven to seek a life without willful sin. Psalm 32:5
“I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid.
I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou
forgavest the iniquity of my sin.”

There is no condemnation in them that believe. “Neither do I

condemn thee: go, and sin no more.” John 8:11

The day our Savior was crucified on the Passover, the 14th day of
the 1st month an annual observance for all believers who seek to
live for eternity. Today, the Passover is kept in remembrance of
Jesus as it renews us from sin as we our atoned on the Day of
Atonement. The Day of Atonement is the day we are sealed
having our Father’s name written upon us and remembered in the
book of life. This holy day is the 10th day of the 7th month.

What is this flesh that he tells us to eat?

Lets read Matthew 26:19-20,26
“And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made
ready the passover.”
“Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you
shall betray me.”
“And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and
brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my
body.”

The disciples were eating the lamb as it is written in Exodus 12;

yet Jesus brake bread and said take eat this is my body which is
synonymous to flesh.
 What does Jesus mean by “eat my
flesh and drank his blood”?
Jesus says in Matthew 4:4 “It is written, Man shall not live by
bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of
God.”

Therefore whatever proceeds from God is the instruction of

righteousness to obey his will. Psalm 40:7, Heb 10:7
“Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of
me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my
heart.” and a testimony for a witness of his flesh Luke 24:44
“These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with
you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law
of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.”
