Paid Family Leave – Rosenbaum’s office will introduce a bill similar to
2009 Bill – Possibility for Federal grant for States with programs to help
with start-up.

OBCCP Treatment fix – We will be reintroducing the treatment part


of the pair from 2009 Session (SB 891/892). Expands eligibility for
treatment once diagnosed with breast or cervical cancer.

DV/Workplace? – Working on outreach and education at this point –


BOLI has been working with DV community to assist with ed/outreach
of workplace safety laws.

BPA/Children’s Safety? – BPA Bill will be reintroduced – Will be


modeled after Washington State bill.

Maternal Mental Health - Recommendations from Taskforce?


Taskforce will report back to legislature in Sept, but will send
recommendations in advance. Probably 2 pieces that need legislation

Birth Anomaly Registry? Oregon didn’t get the CDC grant. Folks will
regroup and report.

Breastfeeding in the Workplace – Update from BOLI – Federal bill


passed and now the State needs to be sure our bill is consistent with
Federal requirements. BOLI is working through these changes

New Concepts:

Human Trafficking – Statute changes (Barton/Tomei) – Human


Trafficking Awareness Day and looking into separating penalties for
victims and perpetrators.

Sexual Assault Response Teams – (Sarah/ Sen. Edwards) - Creation


of SARTS in every county

Teen Dating Violence (Bailey) – Increasing education about healthy


relationships for high school aged kids
