PRESENTATION & LAUNCH

.... he presentation of the new 500 launch took place in Turin on 4 July 2007 during an event that has traced the car history with sparkling special effects. The show was followed in television by hundreds of thousands of people. They were fantastic fireworks on the River Po. At the middle of the show sixty performers s have contributed to the extraordinary aerial choreography created by choreographer Mazzoni: a structure of tubes that raises up a giant skeleton car. Acrobats jump and dance at the rhythm of the music followed by other figures with silver livery that with their bodies they recreate the shape of the new 500. So a car formed by persons. The 500 is now ready to raise graceful, fresh and whippy in the sky. The final part is a triumph of music and choreographs anticipating the arrival of the long waiting new Fiat 500: 4 metallic gray cars on stage, followed by a faithful representation of poly styrene that hovers in the air.

Fiat 500 is not only a car but it is a social phenomenon that gathers around it initiative from all the world: a pretension to meet and compare each over having one point in common: having a 500, being a five hundred.

erino & Vele play with their sculptures and they use them to reflect on the everyday realty through a ironic language. At a first sight their opera seems monumental. Great surprise when you understand that they are realised with lightweight material from ephemeral sources: Papier mach. The paper derives from Italian newspaper according to the colour leaves their mark.

The intention of the artist is to represents the events in a physical concrete way to give form to the information. Milling newspaper, they recycle the pages and create a mix of colours and pictures, a media paste that turns back to communicate. Their opera often seems modern allegories, fairy tails story but, metaphorically represents elaborate concepts: objects that are part of illegal garbage dump, animals that don't represent the nature world but other worlds, built on tortures and wars. To transmit the sensation of a soft material the artist cover the objects with feathers. It's a great temptation to put the fingers into the material but at contact with the hand it reveals be tough and impermeable,
