About Us

Mission: The mission of the Alzheimer’s Network of Oregon is to support the educational, social,
emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals with Alzheimer’s disease, their families and caregivers as
well as raise public awareness of the disease.

Service Area: Marion, Polk, Linn and Benton Counties

A Year in Review:
• Direct service to almost 600 individuals in the AlzNet office or by telephone
• 3,327 individuals participated in seminars, support groups, presentations and memory
screenings
• 167 community volunteers
• More than 2,900 hours of volunteer service
• 19,641 website visits

Events, presentations, classes and semi-annual caregiver conferences

Six-week education series, for persons diagnosed with Alzheimer’s

• Memory Screening
Free screening for individuals experiencing memory problems or difficulty with daily living skills
• Support Groups
Facilitated monthly meetings in Marion & Benton counties
• Speakers’ Bureau
Speakers available for organizations, informal groups, health fairs, and educational programs
• Public Awareness:
Legislative advocacy for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and their families

Volunteer Programs
Volunteers are essential to our leadership, service delivery, and support services. Volunteers serve in
many capacities, including Board of Directors, committee membership; Speakers Bureau, special
events, support group leaders, memory screeners, office assistants and more.
