BPL EPABX SIGMA INDX-150

BPL INDX-150 is a 144 port EPABX designed to meet the requirements

of small office installations where users are restricted with in a particular buildings/
complex or setup.
The system is controlled by microprocessor INTEL 80386 and uses digital
switching among subscribers through multiplexed by a 32 channels PCM-TDM bus.

FEATURES OF CPC
1. It is based on 80386 microprocessor, a 32 bit microprocessor controller.
2. 2 MB battery backup RAM for customer data.
3. 6 MB flash RAM for system switch and customer data.
4. 2 operator console circuit.
5. 1 conference chip ( 8 party conference)
6. Dial tone and ring tone generation.
7. Music on hold.
8. Performs activities like the call processing , switching, digital console interface,
PCM interface, conference function etc.
9. It also hosts bty back up real time clock.
it includes a watch dog circuit which starts the system in the event of system
hang-up
10. There is supportive circuitry to carry out periodic diagnostics.

ALC (ANALOG LINE CARD ) : - It is a 16 port card used to connect 16 ext. numbers
for interfacing analogue telephones including Ports and PBTs, one LED for one cct for
ON/OFF hook indication.

ATC (ANALOG TRUNCK CARD) : - It is a 8 port card which provides terminal for
DOT lines, hot lines etc.

DTR (DTMF TRANSMIT RECEIVED CARD) : - It is 16 port card used for handling
DTMF transmission and reception.
(VG) VOICE GUIDED CARD : - It is a 16 port card. It has 24 prerecorded voice,
prompt can be modified.

E & M CARD (EAR & MOUTH) : - It is a tie line card exclusively for networking.

DLC (DIGITAL LINE CARD) : - Digital line card for 16 digital telephone.

POWER SUPPLY CARD : - The power supply unit operates on -48V source. The DC
to DC converter generates +5V 20A and -5V 3A.

SYSTEM FEATURES : -
1. Automatic attendant SVC : - It operates like a round clock, operator quickly and
efficiently answers incoming calls and then directs them to their appropriate
destinations. it frees employees to perform other tasks.

2. Category bearing: - through programming or data entry at operator console

stations can be selectively restricted.

3. Conferencing: - the conference can be set up between minimum 3 parties to

maximum of 8 parties with any combination of internal extensions and CO line.
The only restriction is to have an at least one internal extension in the conference.

4. distinctive CO /inter com ringing :- incoming CO (central office means trunk

line)lines ring with different cadence than do the internal calls users can easily
distinguish the type of call.

5. External music: - one port in the system is dedicated for external interface through
which music can be fed from and external system.

6. In built diagnostics and self tests: - it incorporates additional hardware which

enables of the exchange. The diagnostic procedure is executed periodically and if
any test failure is encountered, the same is reported to the following three
interfaces.
7. LED mounted CPU board, operator console, PC or VDU connected for
maintenance.

8. Live system programming : - programming can be p0erformed without taking the

system out of service.

9. Memory protection: - it has its own battery backup to protect the system data in
the event of power failure.

10. Metering information: - the system is capable of detecting the battery reversal
being sent by the CO, for the first time when the call is established and for the
second time when the call is disconnected.
11. Paging: - any of the trunk circuits can be programmed as paging port and public
address system can be connected to this port. Using this port, any station user can
send messages so that the message will be conveyed to all concerned parties
simultaneously.
