I am writing to you in applying for the role of a Software Engineer. I am applying for this job
because I would like to work in a development atmosphere, where I can apply my innovation and
creativity for advancing firm’s profitability. I have also known your firm from my college days as
being considered one of the most renowned companies in the world which are the best at innovative.

I graduated as a Bachelor of Technology from National Institute of Technology

Kurukshetra, one of the highly ranked universities in India, in May, 2010.

I gained a campus placement last year at Royal Bank of Scotland as a Software Associate
and I have been working here since June, 2010, where I supported the technical team. My duties
included the implementation of new software packages in JAVA.

I am proficient in JAVA, HTML and C. My solid programming fundamentals and learning

abilities enable me to grasp new programming languages and environments very quickly. As you can
see from my enclosed resume, I have also participated at the regional level ACM-ICPC competition.

I can contribute to additional business aspects related to a new-product development because

of my work experience at Royal Bank of Scotland as a Software Associate. I am highly motivated
