Program Notes
The material for this piece is composed on two different pitch sets of three intervals.
Set 1:

Set 2:

As the composition develops the strict adherence to these sets gradually loosens.
However they remain a strong influence throughout the work even as they become
points of departure. The form of the piece is loosely an arch form with a reappearance
of the melody from the opening measures closing out the piece.
