THE EFFECT OF WORK-LIFE BALANCE ON EMPLOYEES

Balancing both the work and personal life of employees is an important factor which has a greater impact over the employees performance. The work-life imbalance has impact on both employee and employer. For the employee, consequences can have a negative impact on work and life satisfaction, mental health, physical health and on individual performance in organizations. Whereas their impacts on employer are poor performance, absenteeism, sick leave, higher staff turnover, recruitment and training costs. So the reason behind the work-life imbalance should be identified and corrective measures should be taken.
