What is shell mesh in hypermesh?

A shell mesh is a series of Finite elements that use shell representation of a surface to predict the behavior of the part. Beam or solid elements would be the other choices. Shells are generally used to simulate most auto body structures.

How do you give element size in Hypermesh?


Once Hypermesh has started, click in the display region and press the "o" letter on your keyboard. This goes to the options menu. On the left select the "mesh" panel.
